JaSON & LORRAINE CONTRERAS

Jason was diagnosed with cancer in 2010. This would forever change him. In 2016, Jason, his wife Lorraine and their daughter Penelope sold most of their belongings and left the city in southern California to start a small homestead in the mountains of North Carolina. They left the city in search for a more minimal and intentional life and became passionate about growing their own food and knowing what exactly is in their food.

They document their life on YouTube to inspire others to get out of their comfort zone and not be afraid of change. Jason and Lorraine started their own online general store where they have available the things they make and use on their humble homestead. They also have a Sow the Land Podcast and a quickly growing YouTube channel.
