SPEAKER DETAILS

Pamela Schoenfeld, MS RD LDN
Pam is an enlightened registered dietitian with sixteen years of experience enhancing the lives of her patients through accurate nutrition information. After falling for the plant-based diet fallacy herself, she restored her own health when she discovered the Weston A. Price Foundation's dietary principles over twenty-five years ago. Her mission became to share this life-saving knowledge with others, first as a chapter leader, then as a holistic dietitian. Her practice now serves women that desire to be their healthiest selves and give their children the gift of vibrant health. Working with women with PCOS, she discovered that they were short in many nutrients only animal foods provide, especially vitamin A. Consuming sources of these missing nutrients healed their bodies and restored fertility for the majority, as she herself had experienced. Representing the Foundation, Pam has submitted multiple comments to the USDA, HHS and FDA on scientifically-documented concerns regarding their forty years of plant-based dietary guidance. Pam is now on a mission to spread the message that vitamin A is a hero (not a villain as some think) through her column, All About Vitamin A in the Wise Traditions Journal. Pam is excited to be included in the panel discussion where she will answer audience questions about women's health and fertility.
DESCRIPTION
RESTORING REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH - LESSONS FROM TRADITIONAL SOCIETIES AND CONTEMPORARY SCIENCE. A PANEL DISCUSSION INVITING YOUR QUESTIONS.
FRI., OCT. 15 AT 4:00 PM
An ever-increasing number of couples are experiencing fertility challenges. There are a lot of theories as to why this is happening, from advanced parental age to endocrine disrupting chemicals in the environment. While some cases of infertility can be "explained" by conventional medicine, a significant number remain "unexplained." And even "explained" cases are not always fully explained by a medical diagnosis. For example, PCOS (now PMOS) is often over-diagnosed and along with endometriosis, both have multiple contributing factors including poor gut health and nutrient deficiencies.
The "primitive" people Weston A. Price visited had special foods for couples planning pregnancy. Science is now validating a great number of these dietary practices, and couples who embrace the Wise Traditions diet and lifestyle are giving birth to healthy children. Pam Schoenfeld, Dr. Naomi Whittaker and Sally Fallon Morell will share their extensive knowledge and experience on diet and childbearing and answer audience questions. If you or someone you know has experienced any challenge in getting pregnant or was able to reverse "infertility", this is your opportunity to share your story or ask questions. (Speakers will not be giving personalized medical advice or advising on fertility treatments, but will share what has worked for other couples.)
