SPEAKER DETAILS

RAYMOND SILKMAN
Dr. Raymond Silkman has been practicing dentistry for thirty-three years. He started his education with an undergrad major in biology and graduated from USC Dental School in 1991. His interests in dentistry stemmed from its involvement with the science of human biology and anatomy as well as the structural and mechanical properties of dental materials and methods that ultimately meld these two fields together.
Much to his surprise, the considerations for truly biological approaches were minimal or non-existent and hence moving further and further into biological dental approaches seemed to be the natural way for his practice to evolve due to his personal beliefs and background.
He has a family practice with a strong emphasis on biological or holistic treatments and material selection, while working with alternative practitioners from many fields of healthcare.
His practice emphasizes functional orthodontics and treats TMJ dysfunction and airway disordered breathing. His goal in the treatment of patients is simply to bring back health and harmony through WAPF dietary and lifestyle practices while providing long-lasting and excellent biological dental treatments.
