wise traditions 2020 CANCELLED

Dear Friends of the Weston A. Price Foundation:

It is with a very heavy heart that I must announce the cancellation of our conference, Wise Traditions 2020.  I know that many of you were looking forward to a wonderful weekend of learning and friendship.

Several weeks ago, the Sheraton Hotel in Atlanta abruptly reneged on our contract because they had the opportunity for another contract that would fill the hotel until the end of the year.  We have spent the last few weeks in negotiation with another Atlanta hotel, which initially promised a "no mask" policy for our group, but then changed their mind and insisted that we wear masks whenever we were in contact with hotel employees, including food servers and audio-visual people. This meant while being served at the banquet and various other times, we would have to wear masks. They also required distancing. We do not know what action the hotel would take if people did not follow their requests.  Rather than take the risk of unknown actions and agree to such an unworkable proposal, we have sadly decided to cancel the event. (And we will be seeking compensation from the Sheraton for breach of contract!)

We will be contacting all those who have registered to determine how they would like to be reimbursed; likewise, we will be in contact with all our speakers, food donors and exhibitors.

We think most of you who have made airline reservations will be able to get a refund without penalty or be able to use the full amount within a year with no fee. We are sorry for this inconvenience. If you have trouble with that, please let us know.

For all those who pre-ordered the 2020 conference recordings through Fleetwood, they will handle refunds. They also are including a great offer as an alternative to the refund. Fleetwood will reach out to you shortly with all the information you need.

I would like to express the deepest gratitude to Paul Frank of PTF Associates who has put so much effort into making a pandemic-era conference work for us; and to staff members Agnes Bunagan and Tim Boyd, and Kathy Kramer, our executive director, who have dedicated countless hours to conference planning.

We will be looking into online presentations and smaller events for the near future.  And of course, we are already thinking about Wise Traditions 2021.  We will keep you posted!

Sincerely yours,

Sally Fallon Morell

"I strongly encourage you to attend this conference. I have gone to many natural healing conferences mostly for medical professionals. I consistently find the Wise Traditions conference to be the best. It's not afraid to tell it like it is, covers the range of depth for newbies to complex cutting-edge issues with accessible presentations alive with enthusiasm and knowledge–scientifically valid but not dry. It is friendly, welcoming and the food is fabulous. It’s the best bang for the buck anywhere!"
