FROM SOIL TO HUMAN HEALTH: REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE PRINCIPLES FOR RESTORING LIFE, RESILIENCE, AND WELL-BEING
SUN., OCT. 18 AT 10:45 AM
This presentation explores the vital connection between soil health, regenerative agriculture, and human well-being. It examines how soil's biological health forms the foundation for resilient ecosystems, nutrient-dense food, healthy communities, and long-term environmental sustainability. Participants will learn the core principles of regenerative agriculture—including minimizing disturbance, increasing biodiversity, maintaining living roots, improving water cycles, and integrating livestock strategically—and how these practices rebuild soil function and ecosystem vitality. The presentation highlights how healthy soils support stronger nutrient cycling, carbon sequestration, water retention, and biological diversity, ultimately influencing the quality of the food we produce and consume. By connecting ecological health to human health outcomes, this presentation demonstrates how regenerative management can contribute to improved nutrition, stronger local economies, cleaner water, reduced environmental stress, and greater overall resilience for both people and landscapes. Through practical examples and real-world applications, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how restoring soil health can serve as a pathway toward healthier farms, healthier communities, and a healthier future.
